About Daniel Peterson, FNP

Daniel Peterson is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for Endocrinology.  He brings a wealth of experience from various healthcare settings, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, and military healthcare environments.

Danie holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier School of Nursing in Kentucky.  He completed his undergraduate degree at both Utah State University and later Weber State University.

Daniel’s professional background is marked by his service in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Captain prior to separating from the military in 2022.  During his tenure at Nellis AFB Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, he served as a Charge Nurse on the med/surg unit and later, on the PICC Team where he trained and supervised RNs in the placement of central lines.

His leadership was instrumental in enhancing patient care protocols and process improvements.  Following his military service, Daniel excelled in the Emergency Department where he actively participated in critical patient care scenarios, ensuring he is well equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies.

His commitment to healthcare extends beyond his professional roles.  Daniel has volunteered as a firefighter/EMT and served on a FEMA deployment as part of a COVID relief mission in Los Angeles, CA, providing vital support to overwhelmed hospitals during the pandemic.

Daniel met his wife Natalie while they were both attending Utah State University, and together they have 4 children.  Daniel has a hobby wood shop in his garage, that is allowed to exist as long as it does not infringe upon the family minivan’s parking spot.  He is also an avid reader and loves all things Science Fiction.

Daniel Peterson is excited to bring his extensive skills and compassionate care to Utah Endocrinology Associates, where he looks forward to making a positive impact on patient health and well-being.
